About Me

From Impostor to Empowered: Creating a  Mindset Where You Appreciate and Embrace Your Authentic Self

Hey there, I’m Victor. Impostor phenomenon sucks the life out of us. It did for me. I had to develop a new mindset that infused growth and empowerment back into my life. You can too.

My Story

I’ve suffered from impostor phenomenon much of my life.

No matter what I accomplished I never felt it was really due to my skills and abilities. I always felt others were smarter, better, or worthier than I was. I was a fraud and soon others would notice. No matter what I did, it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t enough.

But I started to map out what I wanted in my life and what I needed to do to achieve those goals. With each step, I began to create a new mindset where I saw me for me: smart, dedicated, determined, worthy and good at what I do. It took a lot of time, energy, and stress. But I kept pushing myself forward to change.

Now, my life is fulfilling and purposeful. I know that I’ll look back on it without regret, but with an appreciation for everything I accomplished.

I am enough. I am as worthy as anyone else.

You are good enough too and I can help you embrace your worthiness!

My Values and Beliefs

Open-Mindedness

I will not judge you nor direct you in any particular way. I will keep an open mind, listen to you, and understand where you are coming from no matter the situation or the events.

In turn, I want you to keep an open mind about the possibilities and opportunities out there for you. No idea, thought, or desire is off-limits.

Growth

I am continually growing in my knowledge, skills, and life experiences. I have a wonderful daughter, and even as I teach, guide, and support her in her own growth, I’m constantly learning from her.

I don’t know everything, but I never stop learning and working to be a better version of myself. I want the same for you. Continue to learn, and develop yourself.

Authenticity

I have worked hard to finally accept me for me and embrace who I am and what I have to offer.

You can do the same. Don’t change for others, change for yourself, and embrace the authentic you!

Why I Do What I Do

Why I Do What I Do

I have been a project coordinator, a teacher, a volleyball coach, a leadership advisor, and a youth life coach.

While teaching and coaching, I saw the struggles of imposter phenomenon developing in many of my high-achieving students, as well as my female students, across courses. These thoughts of being a fraud and of not being worthy can start early and last many years.

I coached my students and student-athletes to see what they had accomplished, truly appreciate what they had learned, and embrace their growth from these experiences. Just as I will support and guide you in your growth from imposter thoughts to authentic empowerment.
